TL;DR: To publish a Clevera article to Notion, connect Clevera to Notion via Integrations, grant access to your desired Notion pages, then open the Clevera article, go to Share > Export, select Publish to Notion, choose your Notion page or space, and click Publish.
By following the steps in this tutorial, you will successfully authorize Clevera to access specified pages within your Notion workspace, and then publish an existing Clevera article directly into a designated Notion database. This integration simplifies content transfer, ensuring your articles and their associated video content are available in Notion with minimal effort.
Establishing the Connection: Integrating Clevera with Notion
Connecting Clevera to Notion is the foundational step that allows Clevera to interact with your Notion workspace. This process involves granting Clevera the necessary permissions through Notion’s OAuth flow, ensuring that only the pages you specify are accessible. It’s a secure and controlled way to link your accounts, paving the way for direct article publishing.
Step 1: Accessing Clevera Integrations
To begin the integration process, you need to navigate to Clevera’s Integrations section, which is the central hub for connecting Clevera with various external platforms. This is typically found within your account settings menu.
From the Clevera dashboard, locate and click the Clevera dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the screen. This menu, identifiable by a prominent “Clevera” logo and a downward-pointing chevron, provides quick access to account-related options.
Click on Integrations from this dropdown menu. This action will redirect you to the Integrations page, where you can manage all connections to third-party services.
Step 2: Initiating the Notion Connection
Once on the Integrations page, you’ll see a grid of available platforms that Clevera can connect with.
On the Integrations page, locate the Notion card.
Click the Connect button on the Notion card. This action initiates the secure OAuth connection flow, redirecting you to Notion’s authorization page to grant Clevera access.
Step 3: Authorizing Clevera in Notion
After clicking Connect, your browser will open a new tab or window, redirecting you to Notion’s authorization page. This page, titled “Connect with Clevera,” details the permissions Clevera is requesting to integrate with your Notion workspace.
The authorization page displays the following permissions Clevera is requesting:
- View pages you select: Allows Clevera to see the content of pages you explicitly choose.
- Edit pages you select: Grants Clevera the ability to modify content on selected pages.
- Create new content within pages you select: Enables Clevera to publish new articles and other content into your chosen Notion pages.
These permissions are standard for integrations that publish content, ensuring Clevera can place your articles correctly. Review these permissions to understand the access you are granting.
Click the Select pages button.
ℹ️ Info: The permissions requested let Clevera create and edit pages only within the pages or databases you explicitly approve—this keeps scope limited and secure.
Step 4: Selecting Notion Pages for Access
Next, specify the exact Notion pages and databases Clevera can interact with. This granular control is crucial for maintaining privacy and organization within your Notion workspace, ensuring Clevera only accesses what’s necessary for its function.
- Teamspaces: This category lists all pages and databases organized within shared teamspaces in your Notion workspace. Teamspaces are ideal for collaborative projects and shared content.
- Private: This category contains pages and databases that are currently private to your user account.
Click the checkbox next to the page you want to select. This action grants Clevera permission to view, edit, and create content within this page.
✅ Success: It’s a best practice to grant access only to the specific pages or databases that your integration absolutely requires. This limits potential risks and keeps your Notion workspace organized.
Publishing Your Clevera Article to Notion
With Clevera successfully connected to your Notion workspace, you’re ready to publish articles directly. This process involves navigating to the specific article in Clevera, accessing the Share menu, and using the Export tab to select Notion as your publishing destination.
Step 5: Returning to My Videos
On the left sidebar of the Clevera interface, locate and click My Videos. This action will take you back to your main video library, where all your generated content is listed.
Click on a video you want to share.
Step 6: Opening the Article and Share Dialog
In the top-right corner of the detailed view, locate and click the Share button.
Clicking Share opens the Share dialog box, a modal window that provides various options for sharing, embedding, and exporting your content. The dialog box has three main tabs at the top: Share, Embed, and Export. The Share tab is typically active by default, showing options for sharing a link or via social media.
💡 Tip: The Share dialog is where you can control export formats and platform publishing; take a moment to explore the tabs so you know all available options.
Step 7: Navigating to the Export Tab
Within the Share dialog box, click on the Export tab. This tab contains options for downloading your content in various file formats or publishing it to connected third-party platforms.
The Export tab presents two main sections: File Downloads and Publish to Platform.
- File Downloads: This section offers options to download your content as an Mp4 video, Markdown file, Word Document, OpenDocument, or HTML. Each format has a corresponding download icon.
- Publish to Platform: This section lists connected external platforms where you can publish your content directly. Notion will be listed here, showing its “Connected” status.
Scroll down within the Export tab to locate the Publish to Platform section. Find the Notion entry, which now displays “Connected” below its name, indicating a successful integration.
Next to the Notion entry, click on Publish button.
⚠️ Warning: If Notion shows as “Not connected” here, return to Integrations and retry the connect flow before attempting to publish.
Step 8: Selecting the Notion Destination
You’ll see a list of radio button options. Carefully select the desired space in Notion. This ensures your Clevera article is published directly into the correct database or page.
Once “My Articles” is selected as the destination, click the blue Publish button located at the bottom of the dialog box.
✅ Success: Publishing to a database keeps your articles organized and searchable—choose a database when possible rather than a top-level workspace page.
